Abrolhos Island Tours (Air or Sea)
- With 122 islands in total, just off the coast of Gerladton, the Abrolhos Islands are a nature lover's paradise. Dive on the wreck of the Batavia and take in the vibrant coloured coral or relax alongside the cystral blue waters. Other activities include: Eco Tours, surfing / wind surfing, fishing and bird watching.
Houtman Abrolhos Island
- Take the opportunity to go snorkeling, diving and swimming in a beautiful oasis 60 km of shore in the beautiful coral reef of Abrolhos Island.
The Gerldton History Society
- Enjoy the local heritage artifacts that the Society have collected and placed on display at the walkway station museum.
Wild Flowers
- Between August and October, the Geraldton region has mass displays of everlastings and hills ablaze with colour. Not to be missed by any wildflower lover.
Western Australian Museum, Gerealdton
- Open daily from 10am to 4pm. This new world-class museum located on the Broadwater Marina will fascinate you with the shipwreck objects from the Batavia 1629, the Zuytdorp 1712 and the Zeewijk 1717.
St. Francis Zavier Cathedral
- Opened in 1938, the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral stands as one of Geraldton's most fascinating architectural designs. Free tours are available Mondays at 10am and Fridays at 2pm.
Bluff Point Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage
- Built in 1870, the cottage was the original lighthouse for the port. The Geraldton Historical Society now resides in the building. Old maps, relics and photos can be seen on Thursdays from 10am to 4pm.
Bill Sewell Complex & Old Gaol
- This building served as the Victoria Districts Hospital from 1887 to 1966. It was then used as the regional prison until 1984. The Geraldton Tourist Bureau is now located within the beautifully restored complex.
Geraldton Regional Art Gallery
- The Geraldton Regional Art Gallery is housed in the original town hall that was built in 1907. It is located on Chapman Road and is open daily.
Lobster Factory Tours
- Geraldton is regarded as the "Lobster capital of the world." During the lobster season, November to June, you can take a free tour of the live lobster factory.
Point Moore Lighthouse
- In operation from 1878 after being imported from England in sections, this steel structure is the only one of its kind in Western Australia. The lighthouse stands at 34 metres tall and can be seen up to 20 kilometres out to sea.
Greenough River Cruises
- Daily Eco Tours to view the abundant plants, birds, and fish together with the history of this river.
Chapman Valley Wines
- Situated just outside the city of Geraldton, the vineyard is set amongst the scenic backdrop of the Chapman Valley slopes and is Western Australia's most northern vineyard. Lunches, BBQs, tours and wine tastings are available. Open 10am-5pm.
HMAS Sydney War Memorial
- This magnificent memorial's site atop of Mount Scott has sweeping views overlooking the city of Geraldton and the harbour. A dome consisting of 645 sea gulls represents the 645 men who lost their lives on the HMAS Sydney off the coast of the mid west during World War II.
